Preserving Vedic Heritage. Serving the Community.
ISKCON Durham is a registered non-profit Vedic Heritage and Cultural Centre dedicated to preserving and sharing the traditions of Bhakti yoga, sacred music, philosophy, vegetarian culture, and community service.
Beyond devotional worship, we serve the broader Durham Region through cultural festivals, educational programs, youth mentorship, and inclusive community gatherings that promote cultural awareness and social harmony.
Through our temple, classes, and outreach initiatives, we aim to create a welcoming space where spiritual wisdom and cultural heritage are accessible to everyone.

Spiritual Programs for Learning, Devotion, and Community Growth
ISKCON Durham offers meaningful spiritual programs including kirtan, meditation, scripture study, festivals, and community service. These activities inspire devotion, inner peace, and practical spiritual understanding.
Our youth and children’s initiatives focus on character building, mentorship, cultural education, and leadership development. Through storytelling, music, interactive learning, and service activities, young participants develop confidence, teamwork, discipline, and moral responsibility. The program provides a safe and values-based environment that supports holistic development and strengthens positive community engagement.
Saturday Feast is our flagship weekly community gathering that brings together families, students, and visitors for uplifting kirtan, wisdom discussions, and sanctified vegetarian meals. The program introduces Vedic philosophy, music, and cultural traditions in a warm and inclusive setting. It fosters social connection, volunteer engagement, and cultural awareness while creating a joyful space for spiritual reflection and meaningful shared experience.
Our festivals celebrate sacred Vedic traditions through devotional music, classical arts, educational exhibits, and community meals. These large-scale public events preserve cultural heritage while promoting inclusivity, interfaith understanding, and volunteer participation. By combining celebration with education, festivals strengthen community identity and offer accessible opportunities for cultural learning and spiritual enrichment.
