Janmashtami celebrates the divine appearance of Lord Sri Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, who descended to protect devotees and reestablish dharma. Observed with great devotion, this sacred day includes fasting till midnight, melodious kirtans, scriptural readings, and remembrance of Krishna’s loving pastimes in Vrindavan.
Devotees gather to chant the holy names, hear Krishna-katha, and participate in abhisheka and midnight arati marking His appearance. Janmashtami inspires surrender, joy, and deep faith, reminding everyone of Krishna’s mercy and His promise to always protect those who lovingly serve Him.
